For some thirty years, The Hague University of Applied Sciences has been a leading educational institution in The Hague and its environs. lt has many local, regional and national partnerships and an extensive and growing international network.

Chair of United Nations Studies in Peace and Justice
The lectureship / chair of United Nations Studies in Peace and Justice (led by Prof. Dr. Alanna O'Malley) at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and Leiden University was established by the municipality of The Hague in 2018. The research group works on visibility and relevance of the UN and connects international organisations, civil society and young people in The Hague. For young people, the research group organises UN Youth Impact, the minor Making Peace not War at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, and lessons on the UN for schoolchildren. The research focuses on underexposed actors within the UN: women, youth and actors from developing countries. The chair organises several conferences around the 75th anniversary of the UN.
