The Spinoza Foundation The Hague sees it as its mission to engage residents and visitors of The Hague in various ways with Spinoza's work and life in The Hague and its immediate surroundings. They aim to inspire them to delve deeper into his philosophical ideas, with a particular focus on themes such as peace, justice, freedom, democracy, tolerance, and respect, and to translate these into, among other things, a safe urban experience.

The foundation pursues this mission in close collaboration with the municipality of The Hague and various organizations in the fields of art, culture, philosophy, heritage, and social cohesion. Their goal is always to make Spinoza's thinking appealing to all groups of residents in The Hague and the region, with special attention to diverse cultural backgrounds, and to cooperate with neighborhood libraries and community centers to achieve this.
